A few years ago, Ghent was called the Hidden Gem of Europe by Lonely Planet. A great city to visit (and to live in), but often overlooked in favor of Brussels or Bruges. But Ghent is a real gem, and worth a stop when you're visiting Belgium. Wether you're staying for a few days or just on a day trip. What my city has to offer you:

A student city with a lively atmosphere. Bars and cafes on every corner, great places to sit down for one of our specialty beers.
A city center packed with medieval monuments, historic houses, and gothic-style churches.
